Variant products help illustrate different versions or styles of a parent product.

Note: Atleast one property other than the unique ID needs to be added to create a variant product. Please add only those properties which define the variations for the variant. All other property values will be inherited from the parent product.

Note:Please ensure that the total number of variants generated from these combinations does not exceed 100. Exceeding this limit may result in performance issues and unintended consequences.

If you want to create new variants then already existing variants will get deleted

Add Variant Product

1. Go to the PRODUCTS tab, where you’ll find a list of standalone and variant products.
2. Locate the standalone product for which you wish to create variants and click the corresponding icon.
3. You can see variant on the column which appears to the left most side of the page on PDP page
4. Click on +Configure Variants
5. Select the Property based on which you want to create Variant
6. Click on +Add variant to add another property based on which you want to create variant
7. Fill in the values for the variant properties. For example, provide the respective color and size values if your variant properties are color and size.
8. Click on Save. 
9. Uncheck the boxes of the variant that you dont want to be saved in PIM.   The original product is now a parent product; the new product is its child variant.
