Certifying products implies that your organization considers the product information accurate and complete, ready for sharing with stakeholders in specified formats.

Note:

• Certifying the parent variant: When you certify the parent, all its child variants (the different versions of the product) are also certified automatically.
• Certifying a specific variant: If you certify only a specific variant (a child product), then only that variant and its parent get certified. Other variants connected to the parent won’t be certified.

Certify Individual Products

1. Click on the ‘PRODUCTS‘ tab.                                                                                                                                                                        The Products Listing page displays solo products and variant products.
2. Search for specific products using the search box or the for a more focused search.                                                                                                                     
3. Click on Parent and Solo button to select parent products.
4. Please select the products you wish to certify by checking the boxes next to them.
5. Click Certify Product.                                                                                                                                                                                                                Note : This action will create a snapshot of the updated products in the Certified Products tab on the Manage Products page, future changes in PIM will not affect these Certified products.
6. If you do not wish to assign a name to your products before certifying, select Unassigned.
7. Click Certify Products.

The certified products are now displayed on the Manage Products Page’s ‘Certified Products tab.

To Certify Products Using a Product Group

You can logically group your products under a label before certifying them

1. Click on the ‘PRODUCTS‘ tab. The Products Listing page displays solo products and variant products.
2. Search for specific products using the search box or the for a more focused search. Enable the ‘Group by Parent‘ toggle to select parent products.
3. Please select the products you wish to certify by checking the boxes next to them.
4. Click ‘Certify.’
5. Select Create a new certified group in the list that appears.
6. Enter the name of the new Product Group.
7. Click ‘Certify Products.‘ 

The certified products are now displayed on the Manage Products page’s ‘Certified Products’ tab.
