You can manually create new categories and subcategories for your products. You can also do a Category import to list the product categories in Unbxd PIM automatically.

With a category or subcategory, you can:
Associate properties to a category
Associate properties to a subcategory
Set default value for a property
Manually create new categories and subcategories.
Navigate to the MANAGE tab and click on Categories.
Click on the Add New Category button on the screen’s left side.
Enter a name for the category, such as “Men,” and click Add Category. The category will be created and displayed.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more categories. For example, you can add a category named “Women” along with “Men.”
To add a subcategory under a category, hover over the desired category and click on Add Child.
Enter a name for the subcategory or child category and click Add Child. The subcategory will be created under the selected category.You can use the Add New Category and Add Child buttons to create the required hierarchy of categories and subcategories for your product classification.
Associating Properties to a category or subcategory
Once you create a category or subcategory, you can associate product properties with the category or subcategory.
If you associate certain properties for a category, its subcategories or child categories will automatically inherit association with those properties.
To associate product properties
Create a category or subcategory.
Click on the desired category.
From the Associate Properties list, select the properties you want to associate with the category or subcategory.
The added properties will be displayed, showing the property name, property data type, and options to set the default value or remove the property from the association.
If you want to set a default value for a property, click on the Set Default Value option in the respective property’s row and enter the desired default value.
Once you have selected the properties and set default values
Click on Update to save the associations.
Set default values for the associated properties of a category or subcategory
After selecting the desired category or subcategory, locate the property for which you want to set the default value in the Default Value column.
Click on Set Default Value for the respective property.
Enter the desired default value for the property.
Click on Set as Default to save the default value.
