A task assignee is someone who is assigned a task and can do the following:
Start a task
Continue a task
View task information:
Task description
Assigned member/role
Selected properties
View task status information:
% completion of the overall task
Number of products marked as complete
Number of To-Do Products
When the user starts a task and saves the product, the task status changes from To Do to In Progress. Once the user is done with the task, she can mark a product as complete, and the status changes to Completed.
Note: The task assignee can assign the task to other team members but cannot un-assign themselves from the task.
Starting a Task
Once you are assigned a task, you will receive an email notification. To get started with the task, you can either follow the link in the email message or follow the steps below.
To start a task:
On the MANAGE tab, click Tasks. The Tasks Listing page appears.
If you are looking for specific, use the following filters:
Task Assigned to – List of roles/members.
By – Task creator and assignees
Task Status:
All
To Do
In Progress
Completed
Archived
View – Number of days or date range
Click for the task you want to start.
If you want to view the task details, click the View task details link.
Click Start Task.
Update the assigned properties.
Click Save Product. The changes are saved. The status of the task changes to In Progress from Not Started. You can revisit and continue to update the task.
Continuing a Task
You can continue an ongoing task.
To continue a task:
On the MANAGE tab, click Tasks. The Tasks Listing page appears.
In the Status list, click In Progress.
Clickfor the task you want to continue.
If you want to view the task details, click the View task details link.
Click Continue Task.
Click Save Product.
Once the task is complete, click Mark as Complete. The status of the task changes to Completed.
