Quick videos to onboard users to different components of Unbxd PIM

How do you create, edit and delete a workflow?

Description:

Workflows streamline your daily PIM processes to deliver updated product information with a key focus on getting your catalogue to the market faster.

There are two parts to a workflow:

  1. Trigger
  2. Nodes

Trigger is what will initiate your workflow. It is either “Time” based or “Event” based:

  • Time – This will start the workflow at a specific time and frequency. You can also specify week and months
  • Event – This will start the workflow when there are changes in the PIM system. For example, the workflow starts after a PIM task completion.

Node is a PIM component that can be configured to automatically perform a PIM action or requires manual intervention for its completion.

Once you have defined the trigger, you can start adding the most suitable nodes to execute the specific PIM processes. Initiated by a “Time” trigger or an “Event” trigger, workflows are collection of nodes that lets you automate the PIM processes.

You can use the Workflows Listing page to view all the existing workflows of your organization. It always shows a brief summary for the list of Active workflows, Paused workflows, Completed workflows, and Errors in workflows.

How to:

Click   , and then click Workflow. Click Create Workflow. Enter a name and description for the workflow. Click on Proceed.

Now you can set a time or an event trigger. Example of event triggers could be: addition of products to a product group, completion of import, completion of a PIM task, removal of products from a label, etc. You can also give a time trigger like it is shown in the above video.

Based on the selection of time and event trigger, you can add the import, filter PIM products, bulk edit, add to product group, run readiness check, export or any of the actions you want to.

Once you have saved the trigger and workflow steps,  click Start Workflow. The workflow status now changes from Draft to Active and the Pause Workflow button appears.
