Categories are product classifications that identify a product. A subcategory is a category that is grouped at different hierarchy levels in another category. Subcategories are sometimes referred to as child categories, and the category they belong to is the parent category.
A product can be associated with multiple categories or subcategories and categories or subcategories can be associated with multiple properties.
When adding or editing a product, selection of categories will automatically list the associated properties and their default values if any.
