A parent product is linked to at least one variant product. There are two parts to a parent product, the first part displays common categories and properties across all variants, that is the properties shared by the variant and parent product. The other part is specific to the number of variant products. The variant part consists of the equivalent product id and product name along with the variant properties.
To edit a parent product:
Click the PRODUCTS tab.
Enable the Group by Parent toggle. The Products Listing page displays parent products and solo products.
If you want to search for a specific product, use the search box. Note: You can only search for property values that are made searchable during the Import or the ones set in Properties.
If you want to use the advanced filtering option to display relevant products, click Show Advanced Filters.
Click for the parent product you want to edit.
The parent product displays the common properties and categories across all variants and the number of variant products. The variant part consists of the equivalent product id and product name along with the variant properties.
To edit common properties and categories, do the following:
Click to open the common properties section.
Hover on the property or category for which you want to make changes, and then click Edit.
Make the necessary changes.
If you want to add multiple properties, in the Properties list, click Add for the property you want to add.
To edit variant product, do the following:
Click to open the variant property section.
Hover on the property for which you want to make changes, and then click Edit.
Make the necessary changes.
If you want to add variant images, click Add Variant Images.
If you want to add more properties to the variant, click , and then click Add more properties to this variant.
If you want to remove the variant product, click , and then click Delete the variant product.
To record this change using a comment, scroll to top of the page, and then click . The comment will display in the activity log of the product.
Click Save Product.
