An import template in Unbxd PIM allows you to save attribute mapping and configurations required for a specific import type. 

By using import templates, you can easily reuse existing configurations and quickly upload your data, saving time and streamlining the process of onboarding products.

The import template consists of mapping details of the important PIM attributes. The important PIM attributes include Product Id, Product Name, Product Image, Parent Id, and Category. The adapter also saves all configurations that pertain to data transformations. You can write scripts to drive those data transformations. For example, you can use the values of the attribute “Brand” and add them before the values of the attribute “Product Name.” Or, you can create a new custom column called “Product Title” and show the values of both “Brand” and “Product Name.”

The import template is created after the pre-import phase. And for the subsequent imports, they are available for selection.

Edit an Import Template

1. Go to the Import tab and click on “Import Template.”
2. On the Import Template Listing page, search for the specific template by name.
3. Click on the icon for the template you want to edit.
4. Modify the attribute mapping or configuration settings as required.
5. Save the changes by clicking on “Update template.”

Deleting an Import Template

If you no longer need an import template, you can delete it by following these steps:

1. Go to the Import tab and click “Import Template.”
2. On the Import Template Listing page, search for the specific template by name.
3. Click on the  icon for the template you want to delete.
4. Click on other action
5. Click on Delete this template
6. Confirm the deletion when prompted by clicking “Delete Import template.”
